The Chef Erika Blog is a website that is obsessed with the art of food. We believe that food is “fashion”. There are food trends, food fads and beautiful looking couture food. Chef Erika is a passionate food lover and chef. She found her “life’s work” very early on. She enjoys the creative process, but is also a fan. Sometimes when her Grandmother would cook Sunday dinner she would just sit not quietly and watch, remembering everything she smelled, saw and tasted. Before long, her fire in the kitchen was lit…literally (more on that later). She is also a Gemini, so there are two chefs that live inside her crazy, mixed up mind. You will meet them both on this website. They have distinctly different personalities and they don’t get along half of the time because they are jealous of each other.
About Chef Erika
Erika is the idea person and is all about the business. She is a formally trained chef who has been cooking since she was four years old. She bought her first cookbook with her own allowance when she was in the fourth grade at her school book fair. Every day after school she would practice a new recipe out of the book as a hobby. She is into all food, from bourgeois gastronomy to hood food served on paper plates. She has made her career as a Corporate Executive Chef and finally found the guts to do what she really wants. She loves to write, drink wine, cook and eat (not necessarily in that order). She wondered,” Hey, how can I combine a bunch of things that I love, be happy and show the world my awesomeness all at once?” The obvious answer was to write a food blog, right?
Yumdiva lives inside the head and heart of Chef Erika. She is a fierce diva with a yummy personality, hence the name. She loves a perfectly made Moscow Mule. She is changing her go to cocktail though to Blanco Tequila with seltzer and lime, because she is trying to live healthier. She wears heels in the kitchen, is the life of the party and believes that the only color of lipstick that exists is red. You will see her from time to time blogging about fabulous food and events.

We have such a devotion to food that in addition to just writing about what we eat, we will create a recipe for you to try at home, on the street, in the movie theater or wherever it is that you cook your food (no judgment here).
